Common Problems Patients With EDS May Experience
That's why we examine the problem before deciding how to treat it.
At Soda City Chiropractic, the goal is not to force more motion into an already hypermobile joint. We look for areas that are actually restricted, evaluate how well you control your movement, and build care around stability, proprioception, and your individual symptoms.

How we evaluate EDS

✓ Movement and balance testing
✓ Proprioception and body-position awareness
✓ Strength and stability assessment
✓ Evaluation of painful or restricted joints
✓ Orthopedic and neurological testing when appropriate
Our Approach to Help Patients
When an area is actually restricted, a specific adjustment may be appropriate. With hypermobility, we avoid treating every joint as though it simply needs more motion.
Muscles may become tight or irritated because they are constantly trying to stabilize loose joints. Soft tissue techniques may be used when appropriate to address those areas without aggressively stretching already hypermobile tissue.
Proprioceptive laser exercises
Before simply adding more strength, we may work on body awareness, balance, and controlled movement so your nervous system becomes better at recognizing and controlling joint position.
